Sagetsudo
さげつ堂
Discover sweets to try at Sagetsudo, including daifuku filled with crisp apple and white bean paste, ohagi, kinako treats and sekihan.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
The pairing of crisp apple and white bean paste in the apple daifuku stood out to one person who tried it at Sagetsudo. Another enjoyed the daifuku’s soft, delicate texture alongside the clean sweetness of chestnut yokan. Choosing both gives you a contrast of textures and sweetness, from the fruit’s crunch to the smooth confection.
Ohagi, kinako sweets and sekihan are also options to take away. One person described the ohagi and kinako as gently flavoured and easy to enjoy solo; another bought sekihan for dinner. Those especially taken with the bean paste also mentioned the ohagi and kashiwamochi.
For a gift, one customer chose a box called “Kyogashi”, filled with small Japanese sweets. The sakuramochi also drew praise for its balance of salt, making it a tempting choice when you want something savoury between sweeter treats.
